Latest from Ben Hill and the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival:

Free Fringe Workshop

A workshop on Money and Promotion is scheduled for Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Hudson Theatres, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

This free workshop will be led by Fringe Outreach Director Meghan McCauley and a panel of past participants and will offer an insider’s perspective on marketing and networking for the festival. The workshop will consist of an extended Q&A session and stories from veteran Fringers (Ed Goodman, Mason Flink, Kat Primeau, Monica Miklas, Gregory Crafts) with a mixer to follow.

The workshop is free, RSVP at www.hollywoodfringe.org.

New Fringe Opportunities

City of West Hollywood Partnership – Any HFF 2016 participant show with LGBTQ themes that books at least one performance in a West Hollywood venue is eligible for a complimentary HFF registration (valued at $250) courtesy of a grant received from the City of West Hollywood. They will also be included in the One City One Pride Festival.

Educational Event Registration – If you’ve already registered for a show during the Festival and have paid your registration fee, then you can register to hold an educational event (workshop, class, instructional endeavor, etc.) at no additional charge. People not already taking part in the festival can register to hold an event for only $50. Want to do more than one of these events? It’s just $50 for each additional.

Fringe on Twitter

Every year Fringe hosts a series of Twitter Chats so Fringers can meet and mingle online before the festival begins. It’s a great way to recruit audiences and make #fringeships long before June.  All you have to do to join the discussion is use the hashtag #hff16. The chat will be moderated by the @HollywoodFringe account.

The first Twitter Chat is Monday, March 21st from 2-3pm PDT.
