Footlights Dedicated to Illuminating Theater and Connecting to Audiences
2015 was a big year for Los Angeles Theatre and here at FootLights, we couldn’t be more proud.
Every step of the way brought enormous upheaval and sometimes difficult change for the community. But with that change also came triumph.
We’ve seen gorgeous original plays emerge, local female playwrights taking more of the lead, another successful Summer festival season, Hollywood Theatre Row officially designated, strategic location moves from some of our most dynamic companies, theatre spaces changing ownership rather than being lost forever, actors banding together to protect the art they love, and many large arts organizations across the spectrum dialoging with and assisting small intimate houses, all in service to one great cause – the preservation and advancement of live theatre.
The coming year is looking bright. We we can’t wait to serve you, talk about you, help you grow and share the ride along with you. L.A. Theatre, we say, “Take a bow” – BRAVO!
