28th Annual Ovation Awards

On the evening of January 29th, the Los Angeles theatre community gathered to honor their own. The United Artists Theatre in the Ace Hotel, was the scene of the 28th Annual Ovation Awards.  With a packed house, attendees watched as awards were announced in 35 categories.

It was an evening of celebration and an opportunity to catch up with old friends and comrades. the excitement was palpable everywhere and continued from an hour before the show began, well into the night. In recent years, under the guidance of Steven Leigh Morris, the Ovations have become a posh and popular event.

The theatre community proved through a strong showing of women members and cultural diversity, that they are committed to a stronger and better tomorrow.

FootLights would like to celebrate all of the nominees and applaud the winners. The crown of the evening, was Rogue Machine being awarded Best Season.
