“Harlem to Central Avenue”

The Robey Theatre Company in association with the Los Angeles Theatre Center, is presenting a three day festival Starting August 25th. Danny Glove and Ben Guillory will be hosting the opening night with a World Premiere reading of “Birdland Blue” by Randy Ross, a peek into the world of Miles Davis in the summer of 1959.

“While performing at New York City’s jazz club, Birdland, the notorious bandleader who has delicately mastered the incompatible goals of artistic excellence and “living high on the hog.” struggles to keep his fragile musical, social, economic and psychological worlds from crumbling.”

Friday August 25th at 6:00 pm.

On Saturday August 26th at 2 and 7pm and again on Sunday the 27th, at 3pm,

A festival of fifteen, ten-minute plays, framed by jazz music and spoken word Poetry.
